The weightiness and the wait continues. Please don’t let up.

The SDA is requiring that we update our petition to adopt Katya.  So, after notarizing and apostilling this document, Bill is right now at DHL to send it over to Dima.  It will arrive in Kiev on Wednesday.  Sometime within two weeks, Dima will submit this petition.  Once it is submitted, we will find out whether we can go SOON or wait 14 months.   Please keep praying and pray for the eight of us  as well.  We’re doing okay, for the most part, but at times we just get weary.  But then, the Lord sends sweet encouragement.

Rememer Pam who graciously emptied her luggage to take a care package over to Katya for our family?  What a trooper!  Here’s a pic of Meredith, Katya, and Alyona – women I’ve never met, but have ministered to my precious girl.

Bill told us about the apostil in Richmond this morning. I used to be a notary and never heard of apostil. I keep Katya’s picture in a shelf in the garage so at least a few days a week I am reminded there is a little girl sleeping in an orphanage far away and a family here longing for her return. In prayers for her safety, I am reminded that my complaints remain small in comparison.

We were there, too! :-) That’s Meredith, Katya, and Alyona in the picture. Though I enjoyed Odessa, I am so glad to be home. Can’t wait to hear you’re traveling to Odessa for Katya!

Thanks, Debbie, for the correction AND the encouragement. :)
