Nearing the Finish Line

Kieve Mileposts:

1. Medical Clearance – Check!
2. U.S. Embassy (First Visit) – Check!

Today, Katya and I go back to the Embassy at 2:00 for our final interview. There were a couple of things missing in my packet of papers yesterday (an extra court decree, and the English translation of the court decree was missing the date), so our facilitator took care of that yesterday afternoon, so we should be good to go!

Wednesday afternoon at 2:00, Katya and I leave for Dulles by way of a quick stop in Frankfurt. At this point, we are assigned middle seats for the 9 hour flight – ugh. Suggestions for how to wrangle better seats?

We arrive in Dulles at 8:02 PM. Can you imagine how challenging it will be for me to stand by the luggage carousel waiting for our bags when I know the rest of my sweet family is on the other side of those big double doors?

We are praying that all goes well with the final embassy appointment and the flight home. In less than 48 hours you will have your whole family together! God is good!! Safe travels.

So happy to hear you are so close to boarding that wonderful flight home with your daughter! What a journey you have traveled to get to this point.
Many prayers for your entire family

Tears of joy are streaming down my face. I can’t even begin to tell you how happy I am for you, sis! God is soooooo good! He has heard our prayers and now you are on your way to a very exciting “next phase”. Wish we could be at the airport to welcome you both HOME. Please know that we all love you and will continue to pray for a safe and smooth transition home.

FLIGHT SUGGESTION: tell the flight attendant as soon as you get walk through the door that you’re hoping for some seats closer to the front. if there are any available hopefully she’ll hook you up! i had a great experience with jetblue; don’t know about other carriers. good luck!
